It rained all day long on my first day in London - typical English weather but I braved the cold and was excited to sightsee. With my umbrella in hand, jacket and scarf I took the next train to Piccadilly Circus.
The further I walked the colder it got and the wind was horrible. I had no idea where I was apart from the iconic LED signs outside of Piccadilly Circus but I kept battling on and walking until I ended up by Westminister.

With a quick glimpse of Big Ben and another down pour and I was not feeling too well having not slept for the last 24 hours, I decided to hop onto the tube back home. I was amazed how big Westminster station was and loved how it was heated throughout the station.

By the time I got home I crashed, had a cup of peppermint tea and watched the rain go by. I decided to head out to the nearest grocery store called Sainsbury's to stock up on some groceries and check out the area.
Chiswick is a beautiful area west of London and from the surroundings it's a posh residential area where several celebrities such as Dame Helen Mirren and Hugh Grant live or once lived.
The houses are typical Victorian style homes you see out of the English films and even though it was drizzling outside the streets had character and charm - it felt like home.
After a quick dinner of quiche lorraine and salad, jet lag kicked in and I started to feel very sleepy and headed upstairs and a deep sleep and clocked 10 hours of sleep feeling refreshed the following day in time for another day of sightseeing.
Jen xoxo
