Swarovski Styling Event for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Multifaceted in Swarovski

Being a Swarovski VIP, I was recently invited to the Swarovski Styling Event for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
This was an exclusive event and the first year for Swarovski to showcase the Multifacets collection at Fashion Week with the creative director, Nathalie Colin straight from Paris to host the glamorous event.

The styling event was held at the Westfield Sydney city boutique and I was able to bring along a plus one.
It was strictly invite only and limited to around 50 people who had their best Swarovski pieces and statement necklaces on show.

The night began with a photo at the front door against the Swarovski print backdrop to which we were invited to endless glasses of champagne and canapés.
We mingled with the crowd and walked around the boutique trying on new pieces from the Spring 2014 collection.

This seasons collection consisted of a tribal glam theme with gold and bronze tones.
Midway through the night we got the chance to hear from Nathalie Colin the Swarovski creative director about this seasons latest trends and styling techniques for any occasion.

Nathalie Colin's hot tips were:

1. Blue is definitely in this year. She paired a gorgeous blue crystal necklace with a casual white jacket and jeans that complimented each other very well.

2. Layering. Nathalie's collection consists of rings and bracelets that looks great layered and stacked together. Her tip was to begin layering at the wrist with smaller bracelets and working your way up the arm with striking designs.

3. A statement necklace will add an extra touch to the outfit you are wearing such as a strapless dress. Keep the dress simple as the necklace will make it shine.

4. A dress ring complements the dress you are wearing. For those who prefer minimal pieces but like to make a statement at the same time, invest in a dress ring to complete the outfit and bring it perfection.

By the end of the night our credit cards received a beating with many of the guests including myself spending big!

My friend walked out with a one of a kind piece, a gorgeous pair of clip on emerald earrings retailing at $750.
As for me, I gave into the gorgeous Azalea bracelet - an ideal piece for elegant occasions such as weddings and black tie events to complement my dresses as I tend to go for the 'less is more' approach to styling.

As I spent over $200 I received an exclusive ceramic mug which added a nice touch to the evening and purchase.

It was a fantastic night and we got the chance to take a photo with Nathalie who spent one on one time with each of her guests to share her styling techniques and tips.
I enjoyed the Swarovski showcase for Spring 2014 and look forward to attending next year's event.
